BASC Charity Venison Evening.

We are excited to be hosting a BASC Charity Venison preparation evening at our Eaves Lane Farm Shop on Saturday 21st Feb! The evening will consist of a preparation demo of the carcass into primal cuts and will be followed by a delicious game dinner for all 30 guests! All proceeds will go to charity and tickets sold out in 2 days!

So we have reached the glorious 12th which means the shooting season is upon us! This means we will soon be stocking a wide variety of Game products in our Eaves Lane store and a limited selection in our Barton Grange outlet (subject to availability). until September, Grouse is all that will be available, come September Partridge will become available and from October, Pheasant will also become available. If you have any special requests regarding game, or require a large number, please don’t hesitate to give us a ring on (01772 690271) and we will try to accommodate any requests.

You can always be sure to find a selection of seasonal game meat at the farm shop. At Honeywell’s we love game! it’s lovely to see that its gained such popularity over the past few years, down to great publicity from celebrity chef’s and the like! If you’ve never tried it, you really should! Game meat can often be really economical in price and offer great flavour, what more could you want? As well as hunting our own game, owners Anthony and John are keen shooters, we also have many trusted contacts in the world of game so we can usually fulfil any request, from Quail to Venison!
